Fundraising is an important part of our PTA at Mountain Gap in order to keep doing the programs we love, including Field Day, School Dances, and Teacher Appreciation Week. The Book Fair supports our library, and local spirit nights support the PTA's programs.
In Fall 2021, our fifth annual Battle of the Bears fundraiser surpassed all prior years' numbers. We are very proud of that, and of all the students whose hard work got us there! Here are a few extremely easy ways you can help raise money for MGS PTA...and therefore for the students and our school. |

2022-2023 MGS PTA
Spirit Nights Spirit Nights are specific dates at local restaurants where a certain percentage of the bills will go to MGS PTA -- delicious and a very simple way to earn money for the PTA! Here are some of our spirit nights currently planned for Fall & Winter 2022 and Winter/Spring 2023. We are still planning more so keep checking back for updates. See you there! |

Each year, Mountain Gap participates in the City's Operation Green Team Plastic Bottle Cap contest. In May 2018, Mountain Gap placed in the top THREE schools (out of 45 entrants), collecting 643,659 plastic bottle caps and a very cool $1,000 check for the school in the process!
Please continue to save your bottle caps! We hope to be able to collect them later in the 2022-2023 school year! |
Caps must be plastic and the twist on/off type. These are found on plastic bottles of juice, milk, ketchup, laundry detergent, water, soda, peanut butter, shampoo, prescription, and toothpaste, etc… and can be any shape, color, or size. Caps cannot have metal of any kind in them. |
